(no subject)
Jun. 20th, 2007 12:13 pmWow, it's Wednesday already!
Today I've been a good girl. Well, actually this whole week (so far) I've been a good girl. On Monday I skipped translation to go to the library and read stuff for my exam.
Yesterday I skipped (a lot of skipping classes is involved in me being good, huh?) lexico to go to another library to find books for my... pupil? Sounds not right. Anyway.
Today I skipped nothing (yet) to go to the library (two libraries, in fact, but the first one had no ladders and, while being good, I'm not that tall...) to read a book for my next presentation. And now I'm a relatively good but very frustrated girl. I was reading this thing (Discourse and Word Order, why, why, why??) and I didn't understand very much. Well, it was about intonation and discourse-initial thingies, but well. I guess I chose the worst topic available. Damn.
Sunday I went with my parents to see AWE a second time (birthday present for my father); I still don't like that they killed Norrington and I'm not likely to forgive them very soon. And... well. Whoever dubs Cutler Beckett sounds terribly silly. But maybe that's only in comparison.
Last Thursday my mobile phone died... I can live without it. Pretty well, in fact. But I would have hated to lose all those phone numbers. And... here comes my very own knightess in shining armour (A.) who gives me one of her old mobile phones. Yay!
She's such a lovely person.
E. Finished her bachelor's thesis... I must admit it feels rather strange to think she finished (well, not really; I guess she'll be good enough for Master) before me - especially because I started earlier. But I can live with it. ;)
But I really am (still. Pathetic, I know) disappointed to know how... unomportant our friendship was for her. I considered her one of my closest friends and expected our friendship to continue after school. Obviously she didn't.
