Not so long ago I bought some new books and CDs.
Watching the English is a quite amusing look on (no surprise here) the English. Not a book I'd like to read in one go, but funny nonetheless.
How to Kill Your Husband was a total waste of money and time. An annoying story about some annoying women - I had expected some kind of crime story, but unfortunately it focuses mainly on cheating husbands, despairing wives and children in puberty. Blah.
A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian on the other hand is a humoruos, sad and interesting story. A 80 year old widower marries a 35 year old woman from Ukrania.
A story about family history, old hurts and growing up. In a way. :)
And, well, Cock-a-Hoop by Cerys Matthews. I love Catatonia, so I thought she would be just as great. It's not bad. Not at all; but I suppose for my tastes a little too... country-y.
And some more... I just don't know which. :)
